333’s e-Service Specialist and Deputy Secretary, Mohammad Ashraful Amin received the award from GovInsider at the grand award ceremony held at the United Nation Conference Centre, Bangkok, Thailand in 2019. 333 is a joint initiative of Access to Information (a2i), Robi Axiata Limited and Genex Infosys.
Starting its journey from the 12th of April, 2018, 333 has entertained 34 lakh calls, resolved more than 12000 social problems and stopped more than 3,000 child marriages across the country with the support from the local administration. Bangladesh Innovation Conclave (BIC) has conferred the Social Innovation award 2019 to the country’s largest digital school, Robi-10 Minute School. The award was handed to the Robi-10 Minute School team at the Bangladesh Business Innovation Summit 2019 organised by Bangladesh Innovation Conclave at Le Méridien in Dhaka.
Robi-10 Minute School received the award in recognition of the digital school’s extraordinary contribution in making quality education content available for students across the country through live classes on Facebook and YouTube. These live classes take place every-day from 7 to 8 pm and 9 to 10 pm. The topics of these live classes cover a wide array of topics, including, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Bangla, English, General Knowledge, Accounting, Finance and various tips and tricks of approaching one’s academic life.
On an average, more than 5,000 students attend these live classes. Since the inception of the live classes in July, 2016, more than 10 million students have been benefitted from the classes. In total, 17 category-based awards were presented at the end of the four-day programme. The awards were handed over by the Hon’ble Finance Minister, AMA Muhith. APICTA awards is an international awards program that aims to increase ICT awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. National organisations of 17 member countries work in APICTA to promote the use of ICT as a tool for development in the society. The competition is organised among the member states annually. Bangladesh became an APICTA member in 2015 and this was the first time Bangladesh hosted this prestigious event.

Glomo award is considered to be the Oscar for the telecom sector by many in the industry.
Hon’ble Prime Minister (PM), Sheikh Hasina yesterday inaugurated the Digital Training Bus project for Sustainable Women Development through ICT in October, 2016. The Hon’ble PM inaugurated the project right after inaugurating the three day long ICT event Digital World 2016 at the International Convention City, Basundhara.
ICT Division of the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications & Information Technology (MoPT&IT), the country’s second largest telecom operator Robi Axiata Limited and globally leading ICT solution provider Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited are going to jointly execute this project.
Abul Maal Abdul Muhith MP, Hon’ble Finance Minister; Imran Ahmed MP, Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology (MoPT&IT); Zunaid Ahmed Palak MP, State Minister, ICT Division; Kabir Bin Anwar, Project Director for A2i programme; Annisul Huq, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation; Mohammad Sayeed Khokon, Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation; Shyam Sunder Sikder, Secretary, ICT Division; Mustafa Jabbar, President, BASIS; Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Deputy CEO of Robi Axiata Limited and Zhao Haofu, CEO of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited were present on the occasion.
The project will be executed over a three (3) years period. Six (6) buses, fully equipped with modern ICT training facilities, will be deployed to offer ICT training specifically designed to reach out to the women who find it inconvenient to venture out of their homes/ localities due to various social restrictions. ICT Division, Robi Axiata and Huawei will provide two buses each. These buses will be maintained by Robi and Huawei in collaboration with ICT Division.
Under this 3-year long project, six (6) buses will be used to provide basic ICT training to 240,000 young and talented women across 64 districts of the country. The project is expected to generate massive interest among the women (Especially in the rural area) to pursue entrepreneurship through ICT. Roadshows at rural areas will also be conducted under this project to popularize ICT education not only among women but also among other school and college students.
These special purpose buses will be air-conditioned, soundproof, and will be equipped with 25 workstations in each vehicle. Training facility infrastructure will include one (1) laptop per trainee, large format LED screens, sound system, Wi-Fi data facility, customized training modules, learning software, and stand by generator. Training materials will be provided free of cost and the training modules and trainers will be facilitated and supervised by ICT Division.
This will be first of its kind initiative in Bangladesh to empower rural women through ICT in line with the Vision 2021. To facilitate our journey towards Digital Bangladesh, this project will play a vital role to include young rural women. In the long-run, this project will help build a strong network of talented women, who can contribute through ICT as much as their male counterparts.
Robi-10 Minute School had won the BRAC Manthan Digital Innovation Award 2016 for their outstanding contribution in eliminating the economic and geographic barriers for access to quality education. As part of Robi’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) initiative, the company is supporting the online education platform “10 Minute School”.
Robi- 10 Minute School won the award in e-learning category and received the accolade from the Hon’ble ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak. Previously, the pioneering online education platform had won international awards in Global Entrepreneurship Summit and Slush Global Accelerator Program.
Robi had been honored with the title of being the World’s # 1 Socially Devoted Brand for the first Quarter (January- March) of 2016.
