ICSB recognizes Robi Axiata with Silver award for Corporate Governance Excellence

Dhaka, 09 October 2024: Robi Axiata PLC., one of the leading 4G and mobile network service providers of the country, has been recognized with the ‘Silver’ award at the 11th ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence 2023. This formal recognition further strengthens Robi’s reputation as a highly respected corporate entity of the country.

The award ceremony was recently organized by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). It was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.

Chief Guest of the award ceremony, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed, Adviser to the Ministries of Finance, Commerce, and Science and Technology presented the award to Robi’s Chief Financial Officer, M. Riyaaz Rasheed.

Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, Secretary of the Internal Resources Division and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue, Md. Selim Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, and Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Majumder, Secretary of the Ministry of Finance were present on the occasion as special guests. M. Nurul Alam FCS, Chairman of the ICSB Corporate Governance Committee, was also in attendance.

Representing Robi were Mohammad Shahidur Rahman FCS, Associate Director of the Company Secretariat, Mohiuddin Siddique FCS, General Manager of VAS and New Business, Niaz Mohammad Siddiqui, General Manager of Strategic Communications, and Khandaker Nasir Uddin Mahmud FCS, Manager of Supply Chain Management.

The ICSB National Award for Corporate Governance Excellence recognises companies that demonstrate the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and accountability in their business operations.
